If you read this consider that you have just lost the game
:iconravencloud187:
Start Notepad. Click 'File', 'Open' and browse to the Oblivion user settings folder (default: My Documents\My Games\Oblivion). Select 'Files of type: all files' to show all files in the folder. Then double-click 'oblivion.ini' to open the file.

Press CTRL + F to bring up the 'Find' dialog window. Search for the text 'ballowscreenshot' (without the apostrophes). It will come up with the line

bAllowScreenShot=0

Change this to read the following:

bAllowScreenShot=1

Save the file and exit Notepad.

While playing the game, you can now press the Print Screen button on your keyboard to make a screenshot. It will save the file to C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion and display a notification.

If you want to upload the screenshot somewhere, it might be wise to change the filetype to something that's smaller (so it won't take too much time to upload). Oblivion saves the files in the BMP format by default. Using Paint you can save it as a JPG file:

Start Paint. Click 'File', 'Open' and browse to the Oblivion installation folder (default: C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion). Double-click the file you want to convert to JPG (e.g. ScreenShot1.bmp). It will open.

Click 'File', 'Save as' to open the 'Save as' dialog window. Select 'Save as type: JPEG'. Then click 'Save' to save the file as smaller JPG. It is now ready to upload or e-mail.
